I am running to raise money for blood cancer research, and most of all, to help prevent cancer from taking more lives.

Let the Race Weekend Begin

So the Mister and I took a late flight to San Francisco with a short layover in Atlanta. To start the flight off right we enjoyed some pre-flight beverages. Cheers to a great flight...

We enjoyed the sights of the Port of San Francisco. The Nike Women's Marathon/Half Marathon Race is solely dedicated to the needs to women. There were manicures, pedicures, Neutrogena products, Paul Mitchell Hair Salon doing haircuts and loads of free chocolate.

I run to be fierce.

Found my name on the wall

Nike displays the names of every person who runs the race.

Here they come...updates

So I am about a week away from my event-Nike Women's Half Marathon in San Fran. I think I can safely say that I finally getting excited about going out there. I am pumped to run the race with my running amigo Megan-you know its hard to find a running partner and I am sure glad I did. The Mister made our hotel reservations with separate beds of course for the few days that we are staying. Highlights- Lumbar Road, Rogue Brewery-because I must or I might die, watching the locals of course and riding a trolley car. I am an easier pleaser but I am so super pumped!

Updates with the family:

Jayden is officially repeating everything that we say and putting little phrases together like "Because mommy told me too (referring to her sweeping the grass), her favorite little saying is "Whatcha doing?" PS she is growing like a weed.

My sister Amanda is having a housewarming party and everyone is invited to crash it. I can't make it but I am sending something in place that is just as charming...you will have to wait to fine out.

Bailey is super pumped to start Nursing School so much that she has started buying her "Nursing Gear." Think of this as a wishlist but for nurses.

Mom and Dad came up a week or two ago to meet the Mister and check out my new digs. Needless to say they were "tickled pink" with the Mister-he passed the Parental Units' test. We ate like fat rats (matzo ball soup, pumpkin spiced cinnamon chip muffins and PF Changs), crashed the TNT bon voyage party and cruised the Solar Decathlon like we were knowledgeable in the field of green living. It was so awesome to see them and spend some quality time with them. Next its Christmakuh!
